The aim of the design was to create a home that preserves the charm of a rural architectural character while confidently embracing a contemporary, 21st-century aesthetic.

Based on this concept, we designed a single-storey, gable-roofed residence with a compact and well-considered floor plan. The 40-degree roof pitch and the more traditional street-facing façade blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment. The double ventilation window in the gable and the pergola structure with steel plant-training cables in front of the bedrooms further enhance the familiar, homely character while providing additional privacy for the terraces.

The gabled cross-wing subtly emphasizes the main entrance, where traditional and modern architectural elements meet in a balanced way. Here, the pergola also creates a porch-like transitional space, forming a welcoming connection between the exterior and interior.

The northwest-facing garden façade features a distinctly modern appearance, defined by blade walls, generous glazing, and clean, contemporary proportions.

The material palette focuses on natural and durable finishes: stone cladding, vertically divided timber siding, and rendered surfaces shape the building’s character. The anthracite roof tiles and dark-framed openings, requested by the client, further underline the modern aesthetic.
